Q: Do you ship kittens, and what are the costs? A: Yes, we offer several transportation options across the continental USA. Shipping costs are separate from the kitten’s price and typically range from $200 to $600, depending on the method (regional delivery or air travel via a pet nanny). Q: What is the price range for your Munchkin kittens? A: Our kittens are priced between $800 and $1,500 USD, depending on factors like coat type, color, and gender. The cost does not include shipping/delivery.
Q: Is the reservation deposit refundable? A: The initial $500 reservation deposit is non-refundable unless we are unable to provide a kitten matching your preferences within one calendar year.
Q: Do you allow in-person visits to the cattery? A: For the safety and health of our kittens and resident cats, we do not allow public visits prior to the scheduled pickup date. If you have a confirmed adoption reservation, you will meet your kitten and its parents on the day of pickup.
Health, Care, and Guarantee
Q: What is included with the adoption fee? A: The fee includes your kitten, age-appropriate vaccinations and deworming, a final veterinary health certificate, a small supply of transition food, and our comprehensive [Health Guarantee].
Q: When can the kittens go home? A: Kittens are ready to go home between 10 and 13 weeks of age, once they are fully weaned, litter trained, and have received their necessary initial vet clearances.
Q: What is your health guarantee? A: We offer a 72-hour guarantee against severe infectious diseases and a one-year warranty against life-threatening congenital or hereditary defects. Q: Are your Munchkin kittens spayed or neutered before going home? A: No. All of our companion kittens are sold with a strict Spay/Neuter Contract. Adopters are required to provide proof of sterilization by their own licensed veterinarian within the timeframe specified in the contract (typically 6-8 months of age).
About the Munchkin Breed
Q: Are Munchkin cats healthy? A: Yes. The short stature of the Munchkin is due to a natural, dominant gene mutation for short legs. They are generally robust and healthy and do not have spinal problems common to certain other breeds. They live a normal lifespan and are just as mobile as other cats—they just move closer to the ground!
Q: What is the temperament of a Munchkin cat? A: Munchkins are known for their playful, curious, and affectionate nature. They are highly intelligent, enjoy interactive play, and are often described as being dog-like in their eagerness to follow their owners.
Q: Can Munchkins jump? A: Yes, they can jump! While they cannot reach the same heights as long-legged cats, they can easily jump onto furniture, counters, and cat trees. They simply prefer to “perch” at lower levels.
